Since Aerofiles is our real "business" and the Hangar Sale is a sideline, with the time required to set up and manage sale pages it may be a while before all links are plugged in, so bear with us — there's lots of stuff yet to be sorted out, inventoried, described and, in some cases, scanned!
Also, in order to conserve the web space we now have at our disposal, another server is borrowed for some of the sale pages and we cannot be responsible for the frailties of the WWWeb in case strange things happen to some pages or links during the coming months. PRICES when shown are judgment calls based on similar items seen on Web sites, magazines, collector groups, mail order lists, and such. We tried to be fair in pricing while still bearing in mind collector value and other factors, and will go with that classical "start high and come down" method. In all cases, if you think the price is too high (or too low?), don't be shy — make an offer. Where no prices are shown, make an offer. This is NOT an auction; we have neither time nor interest in pitting folks against one another, so an offer can be accepted, rejected, or put on a back burner for consideration.
GRADING is that common system: EX = new or doggone close to new; VG = very good with minor flaws or wear; G = good, average used, possible flaws as noted; F = fair, definitely used but still with collector value because of rarity or subject; and P = poor which explains itself (such items appear only because they are restorable or might have specific interest to someone). Body english is added to some items with a plus (+) or minus (-) mark when they fall in the cracks. Evaluation takes age into consideration, and signs of use, elemental damage, etc.
SHIPPING We have within gaffing distance UPS, FedEx, and the US Postal Service, which is a lot like the old Pony Express system, only slower. You choose, and cost is whatever it costs. Insurance is your option, as well.
PAYMENT is by cash, money order, or bank check only. Sorry, no checks. We've got enough to keep track of without shepherding personal checks, which only screw up an already fragile bookkeeping system. And no Paypal folderol, either — we went through that grist mill once on Ebay some time ago, which was enough.
BOTTOM LINE is to remember this is strictly a fund rasising campaign; all sales benefit Aerofiles in one way or another. The Hangar Sale runs until we run out of stuff. The barrel definitely has a bottom, and most of the items are irreplaceable to some extent. What doesn't sell here in a reasonable length of time will go on Ebay for the Great Unwashed to scramble for.
